About

map-card is a dashboard card that shows entities on a map in Home Assistant. It supports dynamic tile layer addresses that use a sensor state, and the map redraws when that value changes. Non-geographic maps such as floor plans are possible by switching the coordinate system to a simple one and giving entities fixed x and y positions. Entities can optionally be drawn as a pill marker, which shows the icon of the zone the entity is in next to its initials. The place is read from the entity state and matched to a zone, and the marker falls back to initials when no zone applies. It can be added through the Marketplace or by copying the file manually and registering it as a dashboard resource.
