About
Better Thermostat UI is a dashboard card that shows a climate control for the Better Thermostat integration. It works like an advanced climate card but adds the extra status that Better Thermostat reports, such as a detected open window. Two layouts are provided, a normal card and a mini card, and both can be configured in the Home Assistant visual editor. The Eco toggle sets the eco preset on the climate entity and falls back to the older eco mode service on older installations. Colors for HVAC modes and presets can be changed through color pickers, YAML, or theme variables. It requires Better Thermostat version 1.8.0 or newer and is installed through the Marketplace, or HACS on 2026.10 and older.

This is a advanced climate card for HA, but with some improvements for the custom better_thermostat integration. (you need at least 1.8.0)
Note: The Eco toggle uses the preset-based API introduced in better_thermostat 1.8.0 (preset_mode "eco"). The card will prefer calling climate.set_preset_mode with preset_mode: "eco" when the preset is available; a fallback to the legacy better_thermostat.set_eco_mode service is kept for older installations.
