About

Comfortable Environment Card is a dashboard card that shows the Heat Index and the Discomfort Index, also called the Thom Index. The Heat Index combines temperature and humidity into an equivalent temperature that a body can perceive. The Discomfort Index describes how comfortable or uncomfortable the air feels, since the same temperature can feel hot or cold depending on humidity. The card editor limits its sensor choice to temperature and humidity sensors, and the sensors can also be entered by hand in the code editor. The card is translated into many languages, including Czech, German, French, Italian and Spanish, and its calculations are based on National Weather Service research.
