About
Light Reilluminator records the history of light attributes such as brightness and color temperature in the recorder database. Home Assistant stopped keeping these attributes in recorder history from version 2024.8, and this integration restores them. The main purpose is presence simulation, where knowing past brightness and color temperature makes the replayed light behavior more accurate. It was built to work with the presence simulation component, but it can serve any use that reads light attributes from the recorder. The README warns that stored attributes can take up significant space when automations, effects or adaptive lighting change colors often, and suggests filters to exclude such lights. It works locally and is set up in the UI, followed by a restart.
