About

Rijkswaterstaat Waterinfo is a custom integration that reads water measurements from the Dutch Waterinfo service into Home Assistant sensors. It fetches data for one chosen measuring location, covering readings such as water levels, water temperatures, wave heights and wind speed, which the source updates about every 10 minutes. Each location gets a device with a sensor for every measurement available there, and the availability differs between locations. Forecast sensors and sensors with no readings in the last 14 days are disabled by default and can be enabled later. Setup happens in the UI by picking a location from a list, and the data comes from the vendor's cloud. Entity names and API data appear only in Dutch, and sensors stop updating when the Rijkswaterstaat site is down.

From the README

The Dutch Department of Waterways and Public Works (Rijkswaterstaat in Dutch) has the website Waterinfo where all kind of water data is available. This includes information about water levels, water temperatures, wave heights, wind speed, etc. These measurements are update frequently (like every 10 minutes).

This integration uses the API of Waterinfo to fetch data from a particular location into a Home Assistant entity with sensors for all measurements on that location.
