About

AGL Haggle is a custom integration that brings AGL Australia smart meter usage into the Home Assistant Energy dashboard. It pulls interval data through AGL's cloud and writes it into long-term statistics, so consumption appears in the hours it happened. Sensors cover consumption, consumption cost, bill projection, unit rates including peak, off-peak and shoulder, supply charge, and solar generation and feed-in credit. On first run it backfills recent history, then polls once a day, since AGL data lags by one to two days. Options let the poll interval be raised and solar statistics writing be turned off. Setup runs in the UI with an AGL browser login and a pasted callback address, and it requires an AGL electricity account with a smart meter in Australia.

After setup

  • Write solar statistics (backfill and self-heal)Turn off to freeze all solar statistics writes (backfill, self-heal, give-up markers) without uninstalling or downgrading. Existing statistics are untouched; the bill-period solar sensors read 'unknown' while disabled and the cumulative sensors keep their last stored values. Takes effect from the next poll. Consumption statistics are unaffected.
  • Poll interval (hours)How often to check AGL for new data. AGL's own feed lags 24-48h behind real-time, so anything below 24h has nothing new to find -- the integration enforces a 24h floor. Raise this if you want to reduce request volume. Takes effect from the next poll.
