About

Juwel HeliaLux is a custom integration that controls and monitors a Juwel HeliaLux aquarium light controller. It communicates with the controller locally and is set up in the UI, where the host address, tank name and update interval are entered. It adds a light for the tank, plus sensors for red, green, blue and white intensity, the current profile, the available profiles and the controller's clock. A select lets the controller switch between profiles, and switches with matching numbers control manual colour and daytime simulation and how long each lasts. The controller needs a specific recent Juwel firmware version, and opening the controller's own website cancels changes made from Home Assistant.

This is a custom component for Home Assistant that creates sensors to show details about your Juwel HeliaLux Smart Controller. It is (heavily) based on pyHelialux by moretea, but has been adapted to play nicer with Home Assistant (tested against 2026.2).
Once installed it gives you a bunch of sensors and a new light that you can turn on and off.
