About

Codex Usage is a read-only integration that tracks ChatGPT Codex usage limits and reset times in Home Assistant. It adds sensors for the plan, five-hour and weekly usage, remaining amounts, reset times, usage budgets, available resets and credit balance, plus binary sensors for reached rate, spend and credit limits. Windows are taken from what OpenAI reports instead of being guessed from the plan name, and unknown values are never shown as zero. A bundled English and German dashboard card is registered automatically for storage-managed dashboards. Several accounts or workspaces can be added, and options cover the update interval, profile statistics and saved-reset details. It connects to the vendor cloud, uses a device-code login set up in the UI, and never purchases credits, redeems resets or sends prompts.

Codex Usage is a read-only Home Assistant integration for reported Codex and other eligible agentic allowances included with ChatGPT plans. It monitors reported usage windows, reset times, feature restrictions and optional account data, and includes an English/German dashboard card. ChatGPT Work and Codex share usage; other eligible agentic features can share the allowance when their pricing takes effect. Eligibility depends on the plan and workspace. A change cannot be attributed to a particular app, model, task or conversation.
