About
Niko Home Control II is a custom integration that connects a Niko Connected Controller II to Home Assistant. It talks directly to the controller over the local network, and internet access is only needed when activating or renewing the Hobby API. Niko actions appear as lights, fans, covers, switches and locks, with extra binary sensors and enum sensors for states such as aligned position, moving motors and pending calls. A service sets the brightness of a light without turning it on. The integration is set up in the UI, with optional statistics settings, and can raise repair notices for re-authentication or an expiring token. The README says the Hobby API is the only supported way to configure the controller, because of an issue with touch profiles.
