About
Rain Forecast & History is an integration that provides rain forecast and past rainfall sensors from the Open-Meteo API. It adds sensors for current precipitation, rain expected today and tomorrow, rain probability, rain in the next hour and next 24 hours, and minutes until rain, plus a binary sensor for rain soon. History sensors report rain today, yesterday, and over the last 7 and 30 days, using Open-Meteo's historical archive merged with recent forecast data. It needs no API key, works for any location, and can be added several times to track different places. Options cover the update interval, forecast days, history days, and the look-ahead and threshold for the rain soon sensor. Day boundaries follow the timezone of the monitored location, and it connects to a cloud service; setup is done in the UI.

A Home Assistant custom integration that gives you rain forecast sensors and historical rainfall sensors for any location on Earth — powered by the free Open-Meteo API.
Unlike most existing rain integrations, this one needs no paid API key (OpenWeatherMap), no physical rain gauge, and isn't locked to a single country (Buienradar/Antistorm).
