About

Grocy is a custom integration that connects Home Assistant to an existing Grocy household management installation. It talks to Grocy over its API on the local network and adds sensors for chores, meal plans, shopping lists, stock, tasks and batteries. Binary sensors flag overdue, expired, expiring and missing products, as well as overdue tasks, chores and batteries. A calendar shows Grocy events such as chores, tasks, meal plans and products, and to-do lists are also provided. Settings cover the Grocy address, API key, port, SSL verification, calendar sync interval, a timezone fix for calendar times, and which user completes chores done in Home Assistant. It is set up in the UI, and its entities are disabled by default until enabled.
