About

BLE Positioning System is an integration that tracks Bluetooth devices indoors and places them on a floor plan. It builds on the Bermuda component, taking its distance estimates to ESPHome Bluetooth proxy devices and trilaterating a position from them. Each tracked device gets sensors for its floor and zone, plus a nearest-zone sensor that reads unknown once the device is out of range. The floor and zone sensors keep their last value through a grace period, so a short detection gap does not drop a person out of a room. Sensors for each device are grouped under their own Home Assistant device, nested beneath the matching Bermuda tracker. It works locally and is set up in the UI, and it needs at least three Bluetooth proxies and a 64-bit system because of its SciPy dependency.
