About
openHASP is a custom integration that links openHASP wall-mounted touchscreen plates with Home Assistant entities. An openHASP plate is a small touchscreen that replaces a wall switch and shows a custom interface designed in JSON. The integration synchronizes objects on one or more plates with Home Assistant entities, and it works locally. It provides binary sensors, buttons, images, lights, numbers and switches. Setup happens in the UI, where a plate gets a name, an MQTT base topic, an idle brightness level and the path to a JSONL file, and Home Assistant can also discover plates on the network and offer to add them. Idle brightness and the JSONL file path can be changed later in the options.

From the README
This custom component simplifies synchronization of objects on one or more openHASP HASP - Open SwitchPlates with Home Assistant entities. An Open SwitchPlate is basically a small touchscreen device which you can mount on the wall in place of a switch, and you can design your custom user interface for it using json. You can build your own hardware but you can also buy them ready-made.
