Whisker Ting connects Whisker Labs Ting electrical fire safety sensors to Home Assistant through the vendor's cloud. It adds binary sensors for fire hazard, electrical fire hazard, unverified fire hazard, frozen pipe risk, learning mode, HVAC verification and ownership. Sensors report hazard status and messages, electrical fire hazard level, device type, firmware version, serial number and the WiFi and Bluetooth MAC addresses. The README also describes live voltage readings over a WebSocket connection, published to Home Assistant every five seconds to limit recorder growth. Setup happens in the UI with the Whisker Labs account email and password, and an option sets the polling interval between 30 and 3600 seconds. It is a maintained fork and needs the Marketplace, or HACS on 2026.10 and older.
