About

Digital Pendulum is a speaking clock that announces the time through Alexa, Google Home or any other media player. It announces the time every hour or every half hour, only within a configurable time slot that can cross midnight. A chime can play before the voice, chosen from preset sounds or a custom audio file, with an adjustable delay between chime and voice. The voice can be turned off for chime only, and a Westminster chime can replace the normal chime at noon. The announcement language follows Home Assistant or can be set separately, and a script can be used as the player for custom playback. It works locally, is set up in the UI, and adds a test button, an enable switch and a status warning sensor.
