About

YNAB Integration for Home Assistant brings YNAB budget data into Home Assistant as sensors. It supports several budgets, each with its own name prefix, currency choice and update interval. Sensors cover account balances, category balances and a monthly summary with values such as budgeted, activity, to be budgeted and age of money. Each account, category and summary is a single sensor that carries its details as attributes. Options let the user pick which accounts and categories to sync, and closed accounts or hidden categories can be included. An API status sensor reports the health and API usage of the connection, which relies on the YNAB cloud and an access token, and setup is done in the UI.

Multiple Budgets: Configure multiple YNAB budgets.
Configurable Update Intervals: Choose how frequently each budget’s data is refreshed.
Account Balances: Pull real-time balances for any on-budget account and associated attributes.
Category Sensors: Track each category’s balances and associated attributes.
Custom Budget “Instance Name”: Each budget can have a unique prefix (e.g., “Mel,” “Jamie”) to avoid entity ID collisions. (Defaults to the YNAB budget name)
Currency Selection: Choose your preferred currency (USD, EUR, etc.).
Monthly Summary Sensors: Retrieve current month's summary data with associated attributes (e.g., Budgeted, Activity, To Be Budgeted, Age of Money).
