About
Firefly III is a built-in integration that connects Home Assistant to a Firefly III personal finance instance. It communicates locally with the instance and is set up in the UI using a URL and an access token. The integration adds sensors for account balance, account role, account type, budget, and earned and spent amounts. A setting controls whether the SSL certificate of the Firefly III instance is verified. The connection can be reconfigured later, and a diagnostics file can be downloaded to attach to a bug report.
