About
FLARE is an adaptive lighting integration that follows four named phases of the day: morning, day, evening and night. Phases work from a schedule rather than the sun's position, and only the evening phase follows sunset, within limits that can be set. Rooms light up when people enter and go dark or dim to a nightlight after they leave, and a light changed by hand is left alone until the room next goes dark. When a room is handed to a scene, FLARE fills in whatever the scene does not cover. Each room can also get its own light for voice assistants such as Siri, Alexa or Google. Options cover update interval, the gap between zones, and minimum brightness and colour temperature changes, and it runs locally and is set up in the UI.

Flexible Lighting Automation & Reconciliation Engine.
Lighting for Home Assistant that follows the shape of your day. By default it's bright and cool to help you wake up, warms through the afternoon, dims as evening comes, and sits low and warm once the house is asleep — and every one of those is yours to change.
