About

Matter Binding Helper is a custom integration for viewing and managing Matter device bindings from within Home Assistant. It adds a panel that lists existing bindings with cluster details, creates new ones with recommendations and compatibility checking, and deletes bindings that are no longer wanted. Pre-built automation templates cover common cases such as switches and buttons. Bindings let one Matter device control another directly, so a bound switch can still operate a light while Home Assistant is offline. Options include sharing anonymized device capability data, a demo mode with mock devices, and an optional direct Matter server address instead of the Matter integration. It works locally, is set up in the UI, and needs a configured Matter integration.
