About

HomGar/RainPoint Cloud is a custom integration for RainPoint Smart+ and HomGar irrigation devices, connected through the vendor's cloud. It covers valve timers, hose timers, soil and rain sensors, flow meters and weather stations, and exposes them as binary sensors, images, numbers, sensors, switches and valves. Valve devices get an open and close entity plus a duration number for each zone, and the duration can be shown in minutes or seconds. For multi-zone controllers, an option can place each zone in its own child device while shared diagnostics stay on the parent controller. Sensors that report only over Bluetooth to the phone app are not supported, since their readings never reach the cloud, though Bluetooth valves still work. Setup is done in the UI with the existing app account, and there is no local-only mode.

It works through the HomGar/RainPoint cloud using your existing app account, so your hub needs an internet connection. There is no local-only mode, because the devices themselves do not offer one.
