About

xAI Grok Conversation is a Home Assistant conversation agent that uses xAI's Grok models through the cloud. It also provides speech-to-text, text-to-speech and AI Task engines that work with an existing xAI API key. Actions cover one-shot questions with optional live search, photo analysis, image generation with optional reference images, content generation and a home state briefing. Options include a primary chat model, a fast model for short commands, a fallback model, a vision model, reasoning effort, sampling settings and search citations. Sensors track token and cost usage, and an action resets them. Setup happens in the UI by entering the API key, and the integration needs the Marketplace or HACS on older versions.
