About
Groq is a custom integration that connects a Groq cloud account to Home Assistant for chat, speech and image tasks. It adds Assist conversation agents, AI Task data generation, speech-to-text and text-to-speech entities for voice pipelines. Response actions cover text generation, structured JSON output, image analysis, text extraction from images, audio transcription, translation of speech into English, clearing the response cache and listing models. Optional sensors report usage details such as token counts, response time and cache hit rate. Each Groq service gets its own device, and separate API keys can be used for separate accounts or projects. It needs the Groq cloud and an API key, is set up in the UI, and shows repair notices for problems such as a missing model or missing ffmpeg.

Groq is a cloud API service for fast language, speech, and vision models. This Home Assistant custom integration connects a Groq account to Assist, AI Tasks, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, image analysis, and response actions.
The Platinum quality-scale label is a repository self-assessment against the current Home Assistant integration quality rules. As a custom integration, ha-groq is not reviewed, security audited, maintained, or supported by the Home Assistant project. The rule-by-rule evidence is tracked in quality_scale.yaml.
