Slide Local for Home Assistant (built-in integration)

Slide Local is a built-in integration that controls Slide covers over the local network. It adds a cover for the Slide, a calibrate button and a TouchGo switch. An option inverts the position of the cover. Home Assistant can discover the device on the network and offer to add it, and setup is done in the UI with the host and the device code. The device code is optional for firmware version 2, since the local API does not use it. Connection settings can be changed later without removing the entry, and devices that are gone are removed automatically.

Setting it up

Home Assistant usually finds it on the network and offers to add it. It can also be added by hand under Settings, Devices and services.

Connect

HostThe hostname or IP address of your local Slide
PasswordThe device code of your Slide (inside of the Slide or in the box, length is 8 characters). If your Slide runs firmware version 2 this is optional, as it is not used by the local API.
