About
MySensors is a built-in Home Assistant integration that connects to a MySensors gateway and works locally. It adds devices from a MySensors network as binary sensors, climate devices, covers, presence entities, lights, remotes, sensors, switches and text entities. Setup is done in the UI, where the gateway type is chosen first. Depending on that choice, the gateway can be reached over a serial port with a baud rate, over a network address and port, or through MQTT with input and output topic prefixes and a retain option. Each gateway setup also asks for the MySensors version and an optional persistence file, which is generated automatically when left empty.
