About
Modbus is a built-in Home Assistant integration that connects to devices over the Modbus protocol. It works locally and is set up in the configuration file. Data from Modbus devices can appear as binary sensors, climate devices, covers, fans, lights, sensors and switches. It also provides actions to write to a coil and to a holding register. Further actions reload all Modbus entities and stop a Modbus hub.
