About
Bluetooth is a built-in Home Assistant integration that works locally with Bluetooth adapters and nearby devices. It is set up in the UI, with steps for choosing an adapter and a device. An options step offers a scanning mode, and the automatic setting is described as suited to most setups because it saves battery on Bluetooth devices while still picking up new devices and updates quickly. When an adapter has a problem, notices can appear in the Repairs section of Settings, covering cases such as missing permissions, a needed system power cycle, or a USB adapter that needs a manual power cycle. A diagnostics file can also be downloaded to attach to a bug report.
