About

AWS S3 is a built-in Home Assistant integration that connects to an Amazon S3 bucket for storing backups. It relies on the vendor's cloud and is set up in the UI. Setup asks for an access key ID, a secret access key, a bucket name, an optional endpoint URL and a prefix, which is the folder where backups are kept. The bucket must already exist and be writable by the credentials provided. It adds a sensor that reports the total size of the stored backups. A diagnostics file can also be downloaded to attach to a bug report.
