About
Annuals is a Home Assistant integration that tracks yearly-recurring events such as birthdays, holidays and anniversaries. For each event it reports the days until the next occurrence and which occurrence number that will be, for example a 30th birthday. It adds calendars for categories like birthdays, name days, memorials, pet birthdays, holidays and stock exchange closures, plus sensors for several of those event types. Events are added in the UI as yearly, one-time or custom ones, and custom events can repeat every few months or years, or on a chosen weekday of the month. Events can also be flagged as VIP, linked to a person, or marked as deceased. Entries can be imported from CSV, ICS calendar or vCard files, and everything runs locally.

Setting it up
Install it from the Marketplace and restart Home Assistant, then add it under Settings, Devices and services.
Add a yearly event
- Name
- Last name (optional)
- Person (optional)A person in Home Assistant whose picture stands for this event – on the dashboard card and in the reminder's notification.

Add a one-time event
