About
seven is a Home Assistant integration that sends SMS messages and voice calls through the seven.io service. It adds notifier services, so any automation or trigger can send a text message, for example for door sensor alerts or temperature changes. Configuration can be done in the YAML files, with the API key kept in the secrets file, and a GUI configuration guide is also referenced. A minimal configuration is possible, with the remaining details such as the recipient filled in within the automation. It needs a seven.io account with an API key that has the balance scope and the scopes for sms and voice, plus prepaid credits. Messages over 160 characters are split and billed as several SMS, and the integration is installed through the Marketplace (HACS on 2026.10 and older).
