About

Spa Client is a local integration that connects Home Assistant to hot tubs with a Balboa BP controller and a bwa Wi-Fi module. It adds binary sensors, climate, lights, sensors, switches and time entities, which can be used for notifications, tracking, control and automations. The components are created from the configuration of the connected spa, and version 2.0 and later aims to mirror the Coast Spas app as closely as possible. Setup is done in the UI with a host name or IP address and a name. Options cover the polling rate in seconds and an optional setting that keeps the controller's clock synchronized with Home Assistant.

From the README

Since the event where my spa emptied when it was -30°C outside and it took me a while to find out (luckily, more fear than harm!)... I tried to find a solution to better supervise my spa! Initially, I wanted to replicate my iPhone's Coast Spas App in Home Assistant so that I could create notifications, track, control and automate/script some stuff. I was also looking to replicate my home automation in the Home App to simplify my family's access to all my different platforms. Home Assistant was the perfect fit for that!

Spa Client is inspired by several similar projects and the work of many people.
