About

Planta is a Marketplace integration that connects the Planta plant care app to Home Assistant. Each plant is added as a device with buttons to mark cleaning, fertilizing, misting and watering as done. Sensors report details such as health, pot size, pot type, growing medium, and the last and scheduled care dates. Care sensors are only created for actions that are scheduled for the plant, and plants also get images and two to-do lists for today's and upcoming tasks. An options screen sets which sensor types are enabled by default and can apply that choice to existing plants. It talks to the vendor's cloud, needs a Planta premium subscription, and is set up in the UI with an app code for authentication.
