About

iQua Softener is an integration that connects Home Assistant to water softeners supported by the iQua app. It relies on the vendor's cloud and is set up in the UI, where a legacy iQua or newer iQua2 API type is chosen along with a polling interval and a real-time updates option. It adds sensors for salt level, estimated out-of-salt day, last regeneration, available water, current flow, daily water usage and WiFi signal strength. A switch opens and closes the water shutoff valve remotely, and a button starts a regeneration cycle. Select entities change settings such as salt type, inlet water hardness, regeneration time, efficiency mode and the maximum days between recharges. Water flow can update over a WebSocket connection, which the integration reconnects on a short interval because the API stops sending flow data after a few minutes, while other sensors follow the polling interval.
