About

TvOverlay UI connects Home Assistant to the TvOverlay app on an Android TV and works over the local network. It adds actions to send a notification, send a persistent fixed notification, and clear a fixed notification on the TV. Switches cover the clock, notifications, fixed notifications, pixel shift and debug mode, while number entities set visibility of the clock, overlay and fixed notifications and the notification duration. Selects handle the hot corner and the default shape, and sensors report active fixed notifications, hostname and IP address, with a connectivity binary sensor. Each device gets a stable identifier that stays the same after removing and re-adding the integration, so automations keep working. Setup is done in the UI with the device host, port and a name.
