About
Home Tasks is a local task management integration for Home Assistant with its own task lists. It adds to-do lists, a calendar, sensors and binary sensors for tasks, including open and overdue ones. Each task can hold notes, a due date and time, priority, an assigned person, tags, sub-tasks, and up to five reminders that fire as Home Assistant events. Recurrence covers fixed intervals as well as weekly, monthly and yearly patterns, with an optional end date or maximum number of repetitions. External to-do lists from providers such as CalDAV, Google Tasks or Todoist can be linked, and fields the provider cannot store are kept in a local overlay. Setup runs in the UI, where a task list is created by giving it a name.

A feature-rich, highly customizable task management solution for Home Assistant — combining a native integration (sensors, calendar, events, services) with a versatile Lovelace dashboard card offering list and image-tile views, recurring tasks, reminders, sub-tasks, voice input, and optional AI-generated task images. Supports linking external todo lists from CalDAV, Google Tasks, Todoist, Bring, Local Todo, and other providers — with full feature parity (recurrence, events, and calendar included).
- Title — edit inline (expand a task in list view, or open its detail sheet in tiles view)
- Image — an optional picture per task, set manually or auto-generated with AI (see Task Images & AI Generation)
