About

Phyn connects Home Assistant to Phyn and Kohler H2Wise+ smart water devices through the vendor's cloud. It adds sensors for water flow, pressure, temperature, humidity, battery and daily water usage, which works with the Energy dashboard. Binary sensors report alerts such as leaks, freezing, high pressure and low battery, and an event entity carries each alert. A shutoff valve can be opened and closed, and switches control away mode, automatic shutoff and scheduled leak tests. An action starts a leak test on a smart valve, and a firmware update entity is included. Certain alert types can be suppressed in the options, and setup is done in the UI with a Phyn account username and password.

From the README

Home Assistant custom component for interfacing with Phyn Smart Water Assistant and Kohler H2Wise+ by Phyn.

The integration's IoT class is Cloud Polling, meaning the Home Assistant integration with this device happens via the Phyn cloud service. As such it requires an active internet connection to see updates and make changes, and Home Assistant polls the cloud service periodically for new state.
