About

WaterGuru is an integration that brings WaterGuru pool and spa monitor readings into Home Assistant. It signs in to the WaterGuru cloud with the account email and password, so it depends on the vendor's cloud, and it is set up in the UI. It adds sensors for free chlorine, pH, skimmer flow and water temperature, plus other measurements the pods report, and pod sensors for cassette level, battery, Wi-Fi signal and firmware. Binary sensors flag a water problem, a low cassette and a low battery, while alerts and dosing advice appear as attributes. Each pool becomes a device and each pod a sub-device, so several pools and pods are supported. Options set the polling interval and the temperature unit the account reports, and a refresh action fetches readings on demand.

From the README

Home Assistant integration for WaterGuru pool and spa monitors (SENSE pods). It signs in to the WaterGuru cloud exactly like the mobile app does and exposes every reading as native entities — no Docker sidecar, no REST sensors, no YAML.

  • Water chemistry sensors — free chlorine, pH, skimmer flow, water temperature, plus any other measurement your pods report (alkalinity, calcium hardness, CYA, salt)
  • Pod sensors — cassette level (% and measurements remaining), battery, Wi-Fi signal, last connection, firmware version
  • Problem binary sensors — water problem (WaterGuru's own red/yellow status), cassette low, battery low
  • Alerts and advice as attributes — e.g. "pH high" with "Add 2 cups of 93.2% concentration dry acid"
  • Multiple pools and multiple pods — each water body becomes a device, each pod a sub-device
  • Proper token refresh (the reference projects re-authenticate on every poll), configurable polling, re-auth flow, and diagnostics
