About

Simple Inventory is a local integration for managing household inventories in Home Assistant. It tracks items across several inventories, with expiration dates, locations, categories, aliases, barcodes and a change history. Items can be added to a todo list automatically when stock drops to a set quantity, and removed again once restocked. Actions cover adding, updating, removing and changing item quantities, looking up items by barcode, scanning a barcode to increment or decrement, and reading consumption rates from decrement history. Sensors list expired items and items expiring soon, and an optional step installs example voice command sentences for local Assist in English. It is set up in the UI and works with a companion dashboard card.

A Home Assistant custom integration for managing household inventories. Track items across multiple inventories with expiration dates, automatic todo list integration, barcode support, item aliases, locations, categories, and change history.
When quantity drops to or below auto_add_to_list_quantity, the item is added to your todo list
When desired_quantity 0 (fixed mode): the todo shows the desired quantity, and the item is removed from the list when quantity = desired_quantity
When desired_quantity = 0 (threshold mode): the todo shows threshold - quantity + 1, updates live on each change, and the item is removed when quantity threshold
