About
Alert is a built-in Home Assistant integration that sends repeated notifications while a condition stays active. It runs locally and needs nothing beyond Home Assistant itself, since it ships with the core installation. Alerts are defined in the configuration file rather than through a setup dialog. Each alert exposes actions to control its notifications: one toggles them, one silences them, and one resets them so they start again. These actions can be used in automations, scripts, or dashboards to acknowledge an alert without changing the condition that triggered it.
