# Mushroom Themes

> Mushroom Themes is a theme for Home Assistant. It has 308 GitHub stars and was last updated September 26, 2025.

Mushroom Themes is a set of Home Assistant themes that restyle the Mushroom dashboard cards. It adds Square, Shadow and Square Shadow variants, plus a default Mushroom theme that is now part of Home Assistant itself. The themes work with most original Mushroom cards, including the light, climate, cover, person and update cards. They do not apply to the Template card or Template badge, which are based on built-in Home Assistant components. The theme is chosen in the user profile settings, and custom themes can be built from the Mushroom variables. The Mushroom cards themselves must be installed separately.
