# iOS Themes - Dark Mode and Light Mode

iOS Themes - Dark Mode and Light Mode is a theme collection for Home Assistant that follows the look of iOS dark and light modes. It adds both dark and light variants, each paired with one of several HomeKit-style background images in colors such as green, blue, orange and red. By default the backgrounds are loaded remotely from GitHub, which is meant to give faster caching and loading. Alternative versions of every theme use background images hosted locally, which suits setups with poor internet connectivity. Themes can also be switched through automations, provided the profile theme is set to the backend-selected option. It is installed through the Marketplace (HACS), with a short addition to the configuration file.
