# Plant Diary

> Plant Diary is a Marketplace integration for Home Assistant. It has 86 installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated July 13, 2026.

Plant Diary is a custom integration that tracks watering and fertilizing for houseplants in Home Assistant. Each plant gets its own sensor whose state shows the current watering status, with the plant details stored as attributes. Plants can have individual settings, custom watering intervals, postponements and an indoor or outdoor designation. The watering day count updates automatically once a day. Creating, updating and deleting a plant writes entries to the Home Assistant logbook. A separate dashboard card, Plant Diary Card, displays the data, and plant photos can be placed in a local folder named after each plant. It works locally and is added through the user interface.
