Variables+History is a Home Assistant integration for declaring variables and setting or updating their values. Each variable is created in the UI as a sensor, a binary sensor or a GPS device tracker, and it runs locally. Setup options include an icon, device class, initial value and attributes, and choices to restore the value on restart, force updates or exclude the variable from the recorder. A variable can also be tied to a device that has its own name, manufacturer, model and version fields. Services update sensor, binary sensor and device tracker variables, toggle binary sensors, and increment or decrement numeric sensors, for use in scripts and automations.
