# Momentary Switch Component

> Momentary Switch Component is a Marketplace integration for Home Assistant. It has 192 installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated October 26, 2026.

Momentary Switch Component adds momentary switches to Home Assistant that turn themselves off after being turned on. It provides switch entities and works locally, with no cloud connection. The integration is added through the Home Assistant UI, where a group and a file name are chosen. Individual switches are defined in a YAML file, and the component is reloaded after the file changes. Several switches can be grouped under one umbrella device, and more than one install can be used to keep similar switches together. It is installed through the Marketplace, or HACS on 2026.10 and older.
