# Home Maintenance

Home Maintenance is a custom integration that tracks recurring household tasks inside Home Assistant. Tasks such as changing an air filter or testing smoke alarms get a repeat interval, and the integration shows when each one is due or overdue. It adds binary sensors that can drive automations and appear on dashboards. A panel in the sidebar handles adding tasks with a title, interval, last-done date, optional icon and optional NFC tag that completes the task when scanned. A service marks a task as done, with an optional date for when it was last performed. It works locally, is set up in the UI, and has options to restrict the panel to admins and rename the sidebar entry.
