# iona-ha

> iona-ha is a Marketplace integration for Home Assistant. It has 51 installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated September 27, 2026.

iona-ha is a custom integration that connects an iONA Box to Home Assistant for live power and energy meter data. It polls the box over the local network and falls back to the web API when the box is unreachable or returns outdated readings. A source sensor shows whether the current meter values come from the local connection or from the web. The data can feed the Energy dashboard. An optional mode supports the dynamic tariff mein Strom Vision from enviaM, with 15-minute spot prices and a search for the cheapest time window, plus optimization tools with configurable sliders. Setup runs in the Home Assistant interface with the box address and iONA app login, and the polling intervals can be changed later in the options.

## Setting it up

Install it from the Marketplace and restart Home Assistant, then add it under Settings, Devices and services.

### iona-ha Configuration

- **iONA Box IP Address**: The local IP address of your iONA Box (e.g. 192.168.1.100)
- **Username (Email)**: Your email address for the iONA App
- **Password**: Your password for the iONA App
- **Enable mein Strom Vision**: Enable this option if you use the dynamic tariff 'mein Strom Vision' from enviaM
- **Enable Vision Tools**: Optimization tools: cheapest start time, average price and configurable sliders

### After setup

- **iONA Box IP Address**: The local IP address of your iONA Box
- **Username (Email)**: Your email address for the iONA App
- **Password**: Your password for the iONA App
- **Enable mein Strom Vision**: Enable dynamic tariff
- **Enable Vision Tools**: Enable optimization tools
- **LAN polling interval**: How often the iONA Box is polled locally (in seconds, default: 5)
- **Web polling interval (fallback)**: How often web data is fetched as fallback (in seconds, default: 300)
