# Davis WeatherLink Live / AirLink

> Davis WeatherLink Live / AirLink is a Marketplace integration for Home Assistant. It has 70 installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated October 27, 2026.

Davis WeatherLink Live / AirLink reads local weather and air quality data from Davis devices over the home network. It polls the local API of the WeatherLink Live 6100 and the AirLink air quality monitor, so no cloud service is involved. Readings appear as sensors, including temperature, humidity, dew point, wet bulb, heat index, wind chill, wind speed and wind direction. Not all sensors are enabled by default, and a device is created in Home Assistant for each physical unit registered on the WeatherLink Live. The update interval is adjustable, and an optional cache keeps sensors from showing as unavailable for a set time when the Davis API is busy. Home Assistant can discover the device on the network, and setup is done in the UI.

## Setting it up

Install it from the Marketplace and restart Home Assistant, then add it under Settings, Devices and services.

### Connect

- **Hostname or IP Address**: Host or IP Address of your WeatherLink Live device
- **API Path**: API endpoint on your WeatherLink Live device
- **Update Interval**: Amount of time between sensor updates in seconds
- **Use Cached Data when Davis API is busy/unavailable**: Prevents “Unavailable” sensor values until cache expires
- **Cached Data Expiration (only applicable if caching is enabled above)**: Amount of time in Seconds before cached data is discarded and sensors display “Unavailable”
