# Alarm.com

Alarm.com is a custom integration that connects Home Assistant to an Alarm.com security system. It uses the Alarm.com website's unofficial API through the vendor's cloud, so it needs an Alarm.com package with security system support. It provides alarm panels, binary sensors, buttons, climate, covers, lights, locks and valves. Each sensor also gets low battery and malfunction indicators. Setup happens in the UI with a username, password and a two-factor authentication method, and options cover a security code for arming and unlocking plus arming mode profiles for away, home and night. Status updates can take several minutes, and maintenance is currently paused.

### After setup

- **Security Code (Locks & Alarm)**: Sets the code to use when arming the alarm and unlocking locks via Home Assistant. To remove the code, enable the Remove Security Code option below.
- **Remove Security Code**: When set, the security code set above will be cleared and disabled.
- **Arm Away**
- **Arm Home**
- **Arm Night**: Arm Night may not be available on all partitions.
