It has 52 installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated October 26, 2026. Sony AVR is a media player integration for older Sony AVR-STR receivers, working locally over the network. It adds a media player for power, volume, muting, source and sound mode, plus a remote entity limited to power and mute and a sensor showing the current volume. A service sends commands to the receiver from a list of the available ones. It subscribes to change notifications from the receiver instead of polling, and Network Standby must be enabled on the AVR. Setup happens in the UI by entering the IP address, name, model and port, and the options cover a maximum allowed volume, a connectivity check interval and power cycling on restart.
