# Local Luftdaten sensor

> Local Luftdaten sensor is a Marketplace integration for Home Assistant. It has 175 installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated October 23, 2026.

Local Luftdaten sensor is an integration that reads a self-built Luftdaten air quality and particle sensor directly over the local network. It does not use the cloud, and the data is polled from the sensor device itself. It adds sensors for the readings the device reports, such as particulate values, temperature, humidity, pressure, CO2 and VOC, depending on which sensor chips are installed. A signal sensor also reports the wifi signal strength of the device. Setup happens in the UI, asking for the host, the monitored conditions, a name, a resource URL template, an SSL verification choice and a scan interval. The same settings can be changed later through the options, and older YAML platform configuration is imported automatically.
