# ESPHome Update Manager

> ESPHome Update Manager is a Marketplace integration for Home Assistant. It has 296 installs sharing analytics, works locally and was last updated October 4, 2026.

ESPHome Update Manager is a custom integration for managing firmware updates across ESPHome devices from Home Assistant. It adds a dedicated panel and a Lovelace card that list devices with their firmware versions and status, and let updates run for one device or as a sequential batch. It can use the local ESPHome add-on, an external ESPHome dashboard on another machine, or both together, with optional username and password for the external dashboard. Force install recompiles and uploads even when no update is available, and offline devices such as deep sleep ones can be queued until they come online. Auto-install can start updates when new firmware appears, devices can be excluded from it, and failed updates raise notifications with access to the update log. Setup is done in the UI, where the number of kept log backups can also be chosen.
